Company Rating: Paradise Exteriors gets a 4.4 out of 5 stars based on 5 consumer reviews below.

Bottom Line: I would definitely recommend getting a bid from Paradise Exteriors - I love what they sell and their installation and customer service seems good from what I've seen online. I say this often, but I think it bears repeating - always collect three or four bids if you want to maximize your opportunity to find the best deal!

What They Sell

Paradise Exteriors sells a number of brands, including Soft-Lite, Custom Window Systems (CWS), Plastpro Doors, and GAF (roofing tiles and materials). In terms of their windows and doors, Soft-Lite and CWS are well regarded by many industry insiders, myself including. Soft-Lite makes some of the best vinyl windows and doors on the market today.

Paradise Exteriors Warranty Information

As with any window and door warranty, there are two basic parts — the product warranty and the labor warranty. The product warranty comes from the manufacturer (not Paradise Exteriors). Because the company sells and installs Soft-Lite, Custom Window Systems, PlastPro and ES Windows, this is where the product warranty comes from. Therefore it’s important to know the terms and conditions offered by each. Luckily, our replacement windows warranty page lists pertinent warranty info and over 100 top brands. Essentially, these manufacturers warranty their windows and doors from most product defects.

In terms of their labor warranty, this comes from Paradise itself and covers the original buyer for as long as they own their home. Additionally, the company also offers an accidental glass breakage provision. While the warranty doesn’t go into detail, my assumption is that once the original buyer sells their home, then the labor warranty no longer applies.

Paradise Exteriors Complaints

Paradise Exteriors recently gave me a quote (actually it was last year) and I signed a contract that was supposed to start a few weeks later. The day after that, I took my cat to the vet and found out my cat had a very expensive surgery, which was overwhelming and was going to cost a lot of money (obviously).

Because the project was around $20,000 and I was suddenly facing such a hefty veterinary bill, I contacted Paradise to see if they would be willing to extend the three-day cancellation period as a courtesy. I explained the situation and the response I received was extremely cold. I wasn’t trying to cancel the project outright — I just needed time to process everything that had happened so suddenly.

I was really disappointed by how they handled what I thought was a reasonable request. Because of that experience, I canceled the contract the following day. I would never work with this company again, no matter how low their price was. Very frustrating. Plus I should have gotten a bunch of different bids.

Paradise Exteriors vs Window World

Thank you for your website and you help finding the best prices. The replacement window world is confusing. We recently moved to south Florida and need to replace all of the windows (22 in total) and the entry door. Also they have to be impact windows which we are learning are quite expensive. We have collected four bids and now need some help translating which is our best option. This is what we’ve got.
CWS storm strong windows and door (Paradise Exteriors) $42k
Simonton StormBreaker plus $38k
Window World 8800 Series: $36k
Mi Coastal $45k

John, first off, that's a very good grouping of bids.

Softlite Barcelona vs CWS Windpact

Hi there! Was wondering if you could offer your thoughts on the difference between Softlite Barcelona and CWS Windpact impact resistant windows. They’re for a house in Pinellas County, Florida. There will be 5 casements and 2 sliders. Thanks so much.

[Site Editor's Answer]

Tanya, both of these are quality products. I like the Soft-Lite brand more than CWS and feel like they have better batch results year in and year out. Is this for Storm tight? I know they sell both of these brands. Soft-Lite is the winner in my book, but honestly both very solid options.

[Tanya's Response]

Wow thanks for the fast response! The Soft-lite quote was from A-1 Windows & Doors and the CWS quote was from Zager Windows & Doors. I got 3 others quotes last week (Reece, New South, and Mister Window) and was considering my homework done, but you mentioned Storm Tight. Wondering of should get a quote from them as well?

[Site Editor's Answer]

I don't think it can hurt to get another bid. Also perhaps Eco Window Systems if they service your area. Feel free to send me the bid summaries and I can weigh in on what your best option might be...
