Replacement Windows In Cumming GeorgiaHello Dane, since we last spoke I went and got more bids for the best window manufacturers and installers in my area (Cumming GA). I got a a quote for: 20 double hung windows 31W x 59H, 1 double hung window 36W x 63H, 5 picture windows 34x50 and 1 circle window 36W x 18H Makes for 25 Windows Total. All of the installers have great reviews, I like the OKNA windows the most but it's out of my price range. I am deciding to go with the ProVia Aspect installed by Visionaire Windows. Is this a good price?
[Site Editor's Answer]Noumon, the Provia Aspect windows bid would be my call here as well. Great window and very fair price when compared to the other options! Congrats on doing the work and finding a great window at a great price.
ProVia Endure vs Marvin FiberglassThanks Dane, I'm considering between Okna (local dealer), Provia Endure (Visionaire), and Marvin fiberglass (Atlanta dealer). Provia endure has been the most expensive. I don't love the bulkiness of vinyl, but cost is the best. Curious if you'd have any advice here. I love the fiberglass look and the durability, but the reality is I doubt we would be in this home more than 15 yrs and is it worth investing in fiberglass. Happy to share the quotes we have if you're interested.
[Site Editor's Answer]Pam, I'd love to see the quotes. I'm surprised that Marvin Windows is less expensive than ProVia. Honestly, all three of these manufacturers are great, so if you timeline in the home is 15 years, then I would go with the least expensive of the three.
If the Okna Windows and Marvin are close, then I would look at the overall online reviews of the two companies doing the install and choose the one with the better ratings. I would also ask for their best installation team for your job and tell them you are flexible on the install date in order to get that (they may just have one and then those reviews are even more important in terms of the quality you can expect).
