Explore 2024 PlyGem windows prices and costs on their Contractor, Pro and Premium window series. Ply Gem is a solid mid-grade window manufacturer who has bought up quite a few window companies over the past decade, including CertainTeed, MW, Alenco, Patriot, and Great Lakes windows.
The Great Lakes series are often considered some of their best, while the CertainTeeds are often rated poorly. Great Lakes has been kept as a stand along company, while the other companies have been integrated into the Ply Gem "family" and are marketed under this name. Yes, the window industry can be confusing!
A decade ago, Ply Gem was more of a building supply distributor, but the company has pivoted into a big player in the home siding and window market. They manufacture and market both new construction and replacement windows and are known mainly for their vinyl windows (although they do make the Mira Series, which is an aluminum clad wood window).

PlyGem 5050 Window Cost vs Provia Endure
Looking to replace 13 windows roughly 35x71, 1 picture window 71x72 and a special half moon window with a lower sash roughly 35x61. All in brick.
I have looked at:
Provia Endure $15750. Local GC
Champion $28k
Westshore $24k
PlyGem 5050 at 9k local GC
Gentek signature $13k. Window Universe
I really want to be around $11/12k installed but get a great window. What
is your opinion?

The best window of that bunch is the ProVia Endure -- it's worth the extra $2.5K over the second best window in that group, the Gentek Signature.
The brick installation is probably driving that cost, along with the half moon window.
I would either see if the ProVia GC will match the Gentek price or I would continue to collect more bids.

Ply Gem Contractor Window Prices
The Ply Gem Contractor window is an entry level vinyl option geared towards developers and contractors looking for a bargain window. It doesn't have the quality engineering and design that most homeowners require for a long lasting replacement window. Well suited to rental properties or flipping a house, the Contractor model doesn't have lots of extras and upgrades that make for a quality window. Compare the Ply Gem Contractor model with Jeld Wen Premium vinyl windows.

Sandy, the Pro is definitely the better of the two and well worth the 20% more you will pay for the upgrade. Different dealers get different pricing though so I would contact as many as you can if at some point in the future you need to go with another set of windows, doors, etc.

Ply Gem Pro Windows Prices
The Ply Gem Pro window is a step up from the Ply Gem Contractor and is often in the conversation for a solid mid grade window. It's probably somewhere on the lower end of the mid range products, but not a bad window at all with some professional installation.
The Ply Gem Pro lacks the reinforced sash you will find on Premium Series, as well as several options and component upgrades. In terms of numbers, consumers can expect an R-Value of 3.45, U-factor of 0.29, AI of 0.15, SHGC of 0.27 and DP30.
The window offers a 25 year transferable warranty (no glass breakage provision). Compare the Ply Gem Pro to Milgard Tuscany window costs.

I went out for 5 different quotes and this company was the cheapest. They have a 4 year installation warranty. But I’m more concerned with the manufacturer, and who we should go with.

Vanessa, given your timeline, I would definitely go with the Ply Gem Pro option. The only way I wouldn’t is if the installation crew left me uneasy. The Ply Gem Pro window and door properly installed is going to be fine. A window improperly installed is going to be a real issue.

Jon, the Milgard Trinsic is a better looking window, but probably not much better of a window. If you like the Milgard window more and feel the $3K is worth it then that's the call. Otherwise I'd go with the Ply Gem Pro option.

Kat, I would put these two windows pretty close to one another in terms of quality and craftsmanship. Therefore that Ply Gem bid sounds a whole heck of a lot better than the Milgard bid. just make sure to properly vet the installation team and make sure they have a solid track record of success.

Ply Gem Premium Windows Prices
Unlike the Ply Gem Pro, the Premium model can be ordered as a double hung, as well as a whole host of other style options.
The Ply Gem Premium has similar performance data to the Pro model, but does have a DP50 rating, allowing it to withstand beefier weather. Compare the Ply Gem Premium Series to Simonton 5300 windows prices.

Ply Gem Window Costs vs. Anlin
Hi, I recently got quotes for 9 windows and 1 sliders from various companies and I am wondering if the prices they quoted me are on point.. They seem a little high to me but I figured I would ask.
The windows sizes are: 16x71 (Fixed window next to front door) , 59x29 (Fixed half circle) , 35x59 (single hung), 84x29 (Fixed window), 59x41, 59x41, 23x34 (bath room with obscure), 23x34 (bath room with obscure), 71x41, and 84x81 (Sliding patio).
The quotes I got were:
Anlin Delmar $9300.
Anlin Catalina $9900.
Ply Gem $7500.
I know the quality of the Anlin windows were far superior to the Ply Gem in quality but it seems to me the Anlin windows cost should be around $6000-$7500 and the Ply Gem should be around $4500-$6000… Am I correct with my thinking or am I off..?

Aaron, actually the prices I have been seeing lately have been way higher than this. My advice would be to go with the Del Mar quote, which is a better window at a lower price. I would see if you could get them to give it to you for $8500, but I actually think the price is fair. Now, it's possible that prices will go back to normal in the next 6 months, but who knows...

The Ply Gem Mira series uses Doug Fir wood on the interior and an aluminum cladding exterior. The Ply Gem Mira series was once made by MW Window, which Ply Gem purchased years ago. The Mira window is considered a mid range wood window.
The Ply Gem Mira window is comparable to Jeld Wen Builder Wood window. Compare the Ply Gem Mira Series to Marvin Integrity costs, although the Integrity should get the nod in terms of quality and workmanship.

Hi Barbara, I'm normally not a fan of the Revere Berkshire Elite, but it's a low enough bid to definitely consider it if the company doing the work has a good reputation. Next would be the Ply Gem Classic, which is also an okay window that will serve you fine as long as you have good installation.

Ply Gem 1500 Windows Prices
The Ply Gem 1500 series is a builder grade vinyl window that maximizes glass area for the consumer. However, you can also expect slightly worse performance numbers due to the slimmer frame. The 1500 window doesn't offer many impressive features, although it does come in either a brick mold, beveled or flat frame style and in four exterior frame color options. I would compare this to the Simonton Daylight Max window, although if I were choosing between these two, I would certainly go with the Simonton option.

Hi there, I need to replace four windows for my home in Napa, CA. The dimensions are 47.5 x 47.5, 95.5 x 47.5, 47.5 x 35.5, and 59.5 x 47.5. I have received two quotes— Ply Gem 200 series at $4049 and Marvin Ultrex at $2869. What are your opinions on these two options? Billy, those prices are about right, or about what I'd expect. I would absolutely collect two more bids to compare this price to. Are the picture windows a lot bigger in size? Normally a simple picture window is less expensive than a double hung. I'm happy to send you a list of quality companies to get a bid from.

Bradley, my choice would be the Ply Gem 9000, unless Window World is offering the Alside Mezzo. The Mezzo is a decent enough window. I'd say Ply Gem makes the better window over Alside.

Vickey, forget the Simonton bid, that's outrageous. Same with the Ply Gem bid. I'd go with the Revere Berkshire for $500, that's the best value of the bunch by far.
