New South Windows vs Window World

New South Windows vs Window World - do these two companies stack up against one another? Let's compare on company structure, products, their marketing approach, and price point.

Bottom Line: Both of these companies are direct to consumer, and both tend to target a more budget minded customer. I think I'll give the nod to Window World in this head to head as they are more established and offer a better product lineup (in many of their branches) with their Simonton and Wincore brands.

New South Windows vs Window World

Company Information

New South Window Solutions is a direct to consumer manufacturer that operates across much of the southern United States. The company is headquartered in Tampa, but has quite a few locations in Georgia, South Carolina, and Texas. New South sells and manufactures their own line of windows and doors that I'll provide a bit more info on below.

Window World is one of the biggest (if not the biggest) window and door manufacturers in the United States. The company is also a direct to consumer manufacturer that has a presence in most of the 50 states (I'm not exactly sure about Alaska to be honest). Window World has a good reputation with consumers, but just an okay reputation within the industry.

What They Sell

NSWS sells what they call their eVantage and iVantage vinyl windows and doors. The eVantage is their vinyl replacement option, while the iVantage is the company's impact window. Their windows come standard with the following features: a warm edge spacer, Cardinal LoE3 366 glass, double weatherstripping, and a foam filled sash and frame. All nice features to be sure.

Window World sells three basic window and door series: their lower end 3000 series, which are mostly builder grade. Their mid range 4000 series is a decent option, like an okay mid range vinyl window. Their premium 6000 series are certainly decent and consumers should consider these if the price point is right. Lately, the company has begun to sell both Simonton and Wincore windows. Definitely a step up from what the company used to sell.

How They Market

NSWS sells their products direct to consumers and the company does quite a bit of local advertising, similar in nature to Renewal By Andersen, but at a much lower price point. However, NSW goes after a more budget minded consumer.

Window World also sells their windows and doors using direct-to-consumer means through tv ads etc. WW targets an even more budget minded consumer than NSW

Cost Comparison

New South Window Solutions costs are going to be approximately 4 to 7 out of 10 when compared to other vinyl window manufacturers and distributors. Their price point tends to be a bit higher when looked at compared to Window World.

Window World prices I'm going to rate NSW costs 3 to 6 out of 10 when compared to other vinyl window manufacturers and distributors. So, Window World costs tends to be a bit lower when looked at against New South.

[Site Editor's Answer]

Tom, I don't love either, but both are definitely worth a bid as far as I'm concerned...Window World actually sells a pretty good impact window. New South Windows - worth a bid. Windows World - worth a bid.
