Pelican Replacement Windows Warranty
The company offers a lifetime labor warranty for their windows for the original buyer. Also, I am assuming that this labor warranty is null for any subsequent owners. Pelican sells Simonton and Milgard, so the product warranty comes from these companies, but should be limited lifetime for the original buyer. Check out our page on replacement window warranties to check out the specifics from both of these companies.

Simonton DaylightMax vs. Milgard Trinsic
Hello Dane. We’re replacing 21 windows and one sliding glass door. Firstly, we live about a mile from the coast in Carlsbad, CA (North County San Diego), and our windows are wide open for 9 months of the year. Secondly, we don’t have (or need) air conditioning. It’s very rare to see the temperature go over 80 degrees in June and July. In the winter, we are more interested in keeping the warm air in on (relatively) cool nights. If we don’t run our furnace, the temperature inside the house can drop into the mid-50s in the morning, and our downstairs is drafty thanks to our ancient Regency windows.
Here are the bids:
Simonton DaylightMax installed by Coughlin – $11,155
Milgard Trinsic by Pelican Replacement Windows – $13,300 (they also quoted us 13,650 for Simonton, for what it’s worth).
Anlin DelMar by American Vision Windows – $18,950 (The original quote was 21,095 but when I showed him my Coughlin quote the guy reduced it to 18,950 saying “this is the lowest we can go.” I am inclined to believe him).
It’s clear Anlin is a superior product with its thicker glass and foam injections, etc, but is it worth the extra price when our house isn’t even air conditioned and we have the windows open 24 hours a day from March – October? Is Milgard Trinsic significantly better than Simonton DaylightMax? Despite what I’ve read here, elsewhere I’ve seen a lot more negative reviews of Milgard than Simonton.
Most importantly: Given that the reviews for Coughlin and Pelican suggest an almost unbelievably unanimous customer satisfaction, while the reviews for AVW are good but a bit more mixed, we’re leaning toward Coughlin’s Simonton bid. Thanks so much for you time and consideration!

Hi Ryan, off the bat, I would toss the Anlin window quote, for lots of reasons. Principally, because San Diego is such a nice mild climate that you don't need to spend that premium on windows (especially since they are always open). The bid sounds a bit high compared to the Milgard quote.
So that leaves the Simonton Daylight and the Milgard Trinsic. So, I agree with you that the Trinsic is the much nicer looking window compared to the Tuscany. However, I would rate these two windows about the same. I love the air infiltration on the Daylight Max casement window. If it were me, I would go with this window. I'm not sure which model they quoted you on. Also, the single hung numbers aren't very impressive, but the other styles seem solid.
Given your requirements, I would say that either of these options would meet your needs. It sounds like both companies have a solid reputation, so that's great. So, if you feel comfortable with the installation reviews from Coughlin, I think this is what would top my list.
