Home Depot vs Menards - let's see how these large home improvement stores stacked up against one another in terms of windows and doors. Generally, Home Depot offers higher quality replacement and new construction windows than Menards. If I had to ballpark it, I'd say Home Depot offers low quality to good quality vinyl windows. Home Depot has been in business since 1978 and today has stores located in all 50 U.S. states. On the other hand, Menards has been in business since 1964 and has some 350 stores located in 15 states across the Midwest. In terms of size, HD is certainly the larger and more well known of the two. Additionally, HD tends to sell a higher quality of windows and doors. I think this is most evident in the brands and companies that they carry. See below for the list.
